1. Introduction to ReactJS
Speaker: Theodore Keloglou (Software Developer specialised in Javascript, Node.js, Angular and React)
React is a JavaScript library for the frontend developed by Facebook that has attracted massive popularity lately. Used both by large companies (eg. Netflix, Airbnb) and by fresh new startups, it has succeeded in taking over Angular as the go-to frontend technology. In this talk we will discover its functionality using code samples and understand its advantages over other options. We will also talk about the React ecosystem and how it contributes to the core React library.
2. Gamification
Speaker: Vasilis Gkogkidis (Gamification Designer, International Speaker and Trainer at GAMIFICATION+LTD)
Gamification has been a buzzword for quite some time now both in corporate and gaming circles. What is gamification though and why are people talking about it? Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts.
