The Next Step Quartet live The dynamic quartet of Next Step is coming on Linto stage on Friday, April 1, 2016, at 22:00.
Next Step is a jazz band created in 2011 as a result of joint musical education of the young Theodore Kotsifas (guitar), Bill Podara (drums), John Papadopoulos (piano) and Dinos Manos (contrabass), at the Ionian University. Meeting the Greek-Swedish saxophonist Orpheus Tsoukalas, the band’s line-up was completed as a quintet and after a year of cooperation, their homonymous debut album was released. As Orpheus Tsoukalas participated only in this record, Next Step continued their way with a series of collaborations. The second album of the band entitled "2" has been recorded with Takis Paterelis and Tivon Pennicott from New York and released in November 2015.
Next Step members maintaining the freshness that characterizes their young age, but clearly more experienced now, take... the next step in their recording career. In their album "2" which includes seven new compositions, Next Step take us on a trip retaining their characteristic sound, while with great confidence and efficiency explore new sound paths.
 With a fresh sound and passion for music, they are considered by many as the hottest jazz band of the ever-growing Greek jazz scene. Their music clearly reflects the full range of their references / influences and attracts audiences of different ages and different musical "tribes". The result is provocative, explosive!
